Phantom in Indian comic book stories!?

Phantom has been a popular comic book character in India. There are over 400 issues published by Indrajal comics and over 500 issues published by rani comics, 100+ issues by diamond and so on so far. Phantom's populartity has no limits, and for increasing fan following of the publication, publishers include superheroes like batman, superman and Spiderman etc in their comics or put reference related to them. And there are few comics like that who feature the phantom. We have managed to find a few comics, but who knows! Their might be more of them!!!

1.Mahabali Dara aur betaal se takkar (1971)

It js a mahabali dara issue 3. The comic shows the fight between India and Pakistan. The pakistani's want to remove mahabali dara from their way to conquer India, therefore they misinform Phantom about Mahabali dara being a threat to the country.And even we see a fight sequence between the two.But Phantom is able to find out that he was tricked by the Pakistanis. That is the entire conclusion to the story.

2.mahabali Chetaal (1971)

Mahabali chetaal is a comic published by Manoj Chitra Katha.This issue a parody of the phantom.Phantom is known as vetaal in hindi,this story replaced the 'v' with 'ch'. Chetaal can be considered as chantom in english. Manoj chitra katha has many Rip offs of the phantom(Will write about those rip offs in another artcile).

3.Agniputra abhay aur Mahasangram (1994)

This comic cover features the phantom with 3 other indian superheroes who belong to diamond comics namely Mahabli shaka, agniputra abhay and fauladi singh. This issue features alomost every superhero character that belongs to diamond comics.But sadly their isn't a part that phantom is playing in it. Almost like buying a chocos packet featuring Spiderman but it doesn't give any Spiderman novelties!

4.Paan singh becomes the phantom (19××)

Madhu muskan issue 784 features a story of the character paan singh becoming phantom.In this story phantom gets week because the a party of crooks cloroformed him and made him faint.Phantom asks Paan singh to wear the phantom's costume and take on the gang as he is very weak to do such a thing.Paan Singh accepts the proposal and takes the costume.And as usual,A happy ending......!!!

5.Big babol issue 11 (1997)

Big babol is a mini comic book series which were published by diamond comics.They are mostly pocket books which promotes big babol chewing gum.Issue 11 of this series Contained a short story of phantom saving two boys from thugs.And in turn, the 2 boys offer him big babol chewing gum box.

6.Rakshak issue 1 (2017)

Rakshak issue 1 didn't feature the phantom.The neice of rakshak AKA aditya loved and believed in superheroes.In one of the panels we see her reading a Egmont india phantom comic.Also there are batman new 52 comics featured too(For your information only).

7.Illuminati comics khazana magazine 1,9&10(2020)

Illuminati comics khazana magazine is a fan made comic book series.The first issue featured the phantom and later phantom appeared again in issue 9 and 10 teaming up with daredevil,super commando dhruv, Kala pret,Angara, Jackie chan etc.Note that this is not a official indian comic....Just fan fiction.
